Education Programs
Rescue Team Kenya believes that learning is important for development and one of the most powerful tools in breaking poverty cycles by improving the quality of life of the critically vulnerable and bringing them back to school. The charity is working to ensure that our children receive the knowledge and life skills which enables them to face the future with a purpose.
In Kenya, about 1.5 million children are not in school. Many are out of school because they lack the basic learning facilities like books, pens, uniforms, crayons, notebooks, pencils, backpacks, shoes, and so on. Some are in labour working to supply their families with money for food. Many children in slums are very vulnerable, with their parents unable to support them in school as many are very poor living below the poverty lines and just as many are orphans and abandoned.
As a charity honoured from the rest. we are able to provide them with books, pens, crayons, backpacks, school fees, uniforms and such basic learning supplies. At the slum, we are able to support these children with the help we get from our friends and other well wishers. Want to support a child? By donating 1 USD a day per child, then you are able to educate a child.
